부산의 대표적 해변인 해운대의 자연을 품고 있는 갤러리 아트숲은 2012년 개관 이래, 단순한 전시 공간을 넘어 예술과 대중이 활발히 소통하는 복합 문화예술 플랫폼으로 자리매김해 왔다. ‘보여주는 것’에 그치지 않고 ‘경험하고 교감하는 예술’을 지향해 온 아트숲은 끊임없는 실험과 기획을 통해 예술과 일상의 경계를 허무는 새로운 시도를 이어가고 있습니다.

연간 10여 회의 기획 및 초대전을 중심으로 운영되는 전시는 치밀한 작가 연구와 자료 분석을 바탕으로 구성되며, 국내외에서 독자적인 예술 세계를 구축한 중견 작가들의 내실 있는 작품을 소개하고 있다. 더불어, 매년 정례적으로 개최하는 신진 작가 지원 프로그램 《The Ugly Duckling》을 통해 가능성 있는 젊은 예술가들의 첫걸음을 지원하며, 세대와 장르를 아우르는 균형 잡힌 전시 기획을 실현하고 있습니다.

갤러리 아트숲은 동시대 예술의 다양한 흐름을 담아내는 플랫폼으로서, 예술가 개개인의 독창적인 시선을 사회와 연결하는 매개체 역할을 자처하고 있다. 예술이 특정한 층위에 머무르지 않고 일상 속으로 자연스럽게 스며들어야 한다는 믿음 아래, 관람객과 작품이 깊이 있게 만나고 교감하는 순간을 만들어가고자 합니다.

Gallery Artsoop, located in Haeundae, home to the most quintessentially 'Busan' natural scenery, opened in 2012. It has established itself as a multifaceted cultural and artistic space for 'communication' with the public, rather than merely serving as an exhibition venue.

Artsoop hosts approximately 10 curated and invitational exhibitions annually. Through meticulous research and analysis, the gallery showcases established mid-career artists with a solid reputation both domestically and internationally. Additionally, it supports promising young talents by organizing an annual exhibition titled <The Ugly Duckling>, dedicated to nurturing emerging artists at the start of their careers.

In doing so, Gallery Artsoop serves as a bridge, offering the public opportunities to engage with diverse art forms. By introducing talented contemporary artists, it strives to invigorate Korea's art culture and foster its growth.
